View Full Version : why doesnt my ****ing strut bar fit

i bought this cusco front upper strut bar and went to put it on and it wont clear my brake master cylinder resivoir. what the **** how come ive never heard of this? it fits fine on my non abs parts car, but the car i drive has abs and it doesnt fit. is there something i can do to make it fit? what strutbars do fit?

Hmmm, my strutbar has the opposite problem. It clears everything but sits a little high so I have to push the hood down. Not too bad but I dont like forcing it down. What I get for buying off E-bay I guess.

this is in an s13, not sure how much help seeing a cusco bar installed will help, but hell... I've never heard of the bar hitting the MC.

i bought my strut bars from ebay too, no problems at all 10 bucks each....but i dont have abs so i dont know

did you buy it used? you sure its cusco?

yes its used but i am 100% sure its cusco.......it fits other 240s perfect......but not mine..............my brake master cylinder resivoir is all up in the way....im thinking about just cutting the the resivoir in half and shortening the middle of it and then jb welding the 2 small halves back together.

Oval shaft strut bar. Shaft: aluminum. Section shape: oval. Plate: Steel painted in blue. Bolt-on type. Impossible to equip on units with ABS...............................booh

so anyway now im scared to buy another strutbar.....who here has a strut bar on their abs s13? please tell me what types.....thanks
