Formula drift roll out to vegas on our 240's

Just came back from a trip and thinking of planning one out to Vegas on formula drift weekend August 26 & 27 2011. Im hoping this idea works out. its worth a shot. its a few months from now so theres still time to save some cash and get the days off work. even though theres nothing like driving in our 240's to a drifting event in the city that never sleeps. If so shoot me a pm, everything should be good by the beginning of august. We'll see how it goes the closer we get to the event.

so far theres been several zilvians signing up, so im starting a list with who is going for sure and who's a maybe + the extra peeps. U guys knw the drill. I'll update the list through out time including whose pitching in, who gets discounts, who gets free rooms, or whose getting their own rooms. For the hotel reservations, we still have around 120 days according to the formula d website, but reservations should be made in advance that way we're not split up in separate groups. For those who don't mind sharing rooms then there goes more $$$ in our pockets. For those who want an extra room can get a room apart from the rest. ** Remeber its a 4 hour trip to vegas so no speeding over 75 mph. highway patrols watch out for anyone speeding. :cops::cops::cops: the closer the event gets, the more info ill post up.

** AND the 1st meet will be june 3rd at around 6:30pm at the westfield mall in west covina if any one cant make it for any reason, speak now or forever hold your peace.. lmk be4 the date gets closer

im gonna be there x10!!! but im not ever taking a 240 there ever again during the summer. last year i went and my AC belt came off then my o2 sensor popped out and the threads were all stripped for some reason. then on the way home my brake light switch fell apart. i drove over 300 miles in just my boxers because i had no AC and it was 119 degrees. lol. it was kinda cool driving around in vegas with a big exhaust leak coming from the manifold where the o2 sensor was supposed to be. i got alot of thumbs up even from old people. yeah i know.... cool story bro.

Also, there is a local hotel away from everything (but very close to Las Vegas Motor Speedway)...called: Aliante, $25 per night. It's a high end locals hotel/casino in North Las Vegas.

Disclaimer...when they built this hotel in 2005...the market sank and the neighboring residential areas didn't get developed...hence why its away from everything...they offer cheap rooms as an incentive especially for ppl going to the speedway like Narscar events and what not.

we have a wet track on a little figure 8 area, then our dry track can also be wet down as well, we rent a water truck from one of our friends daily so we can use it wherever we would like..

as far as helmets we have free loaners

last time i went there to pick up my window visors, i member there was a little plaza next to the dealership if im right there was parking but in a fast food restaurant. which was off the dealer. so according to google maps, its a tmobile and vitamin shoppe so we can probably park there. its like right next to west covina nissan.

well for me i didnt flake out. i had a day planned including the meet but got thrown off due to a purchase. i was suppose to buy coilovers from a guy in irvine then go to the meet ontime but since the guy totally broke the deal that we had and sold them as i was heading out to buy them from him (rancid240) everthing went outta wack because i then found a guy in antelope valley to buy coilovers from but it was a shaddy purchase so i didnt buy them and a big waste of my day and gas. just had to vent ha. looking forward to next official meet guys.
