I have 3 quotes,
Tein Type-HA without pillowball mount for the 97 240SX cost $1115 shipped. California resident need to add 8.25% tax.
Apexi world pro kit with upper pillow mounts, 1439 + shipping
Jic for 1432.99
Thoughts on the above prices? Anyone have extensive experience with any of the aformentioned products who can lend me a hand in making a decision?? PLEASE!

Don't get the TEINs unless you live in a warm, dry climate. Mine didn't survive even a single midwest winter. They are rusted and frozen. Plus, TEIN doesn't have any U.S. offices. For re-valves, you must send them back to Japan....same for any warranty work. And don't expect any service help either....they only speak Japanese.
If you feel you must get them, you won't be let down by performance. They made my Civic feel like an Audi LeMans car, but now they're useless.
On an upside, that is an extremely good price.
I would check and see if the other brands are made out of non-corrosive metals (i.e. stainless steel). If they are...go with them.
Thats not true, TEIN now has US support.
On the rusting thing, he's right, although I never had a problem with rust I live in TX. I had the HA's and loved them, good street/mild track coilover. but not something I'd use if I got serious into road racing, not stiff enough. Maybe some Zeals or HKS...?

Well, that's good to hear at least, Will. Nice to know I can complain in English now. You're lucky you live down in the dustbowl....My coils are just $1300 paperweights now.
I would also recommend looking into the Zeal kit....I've heard nothing but good things about them.
As for stiffness....on the highest damper setting, I thought they were pretty stiff indeed, but all I've really been able to compare them to are KYB/Tokico - Skunk2/Eibach combos. IMHO, they'll do nicely for autoX and such, might want something better for track racing though.

Anybody got the link for Zeals? And I live in canada... since it is a coilover I might flip back and forth summer to winter (stiff shocks plus below zero temperatures + rwd + snow = holy shit I need new underwear) Thanks for that tip n the corrosive thing though, never even thought about that.... help me out here folks, power is great, but nothing is as fun lateral g's...

<a href="http://www.endless-sport.co.jp/eindex.htm" target='_blank'>http://www.endless-sport.co.jp/eindex.htm</a> - Japan

The B6 super functions are extremely stiff - stay away from them if you don't race. Very = $$$, but very high quality.

i never hear anyone talk about H&R coilovers/cup kits, are they not available for the 240 or what? cup kits are only 800 bucks compared to the 1250+ some people are paying for their setup
