Thinking about setting up a event at some point, attempting to see how many would be interested and see if it would be worth it to setup the event.

Open Track / Competition:
The competition portion will be held from 8am - 2pm
Open track from 230pm - 5pm (Track Closes at 5pm)

Where:
Chuckwalla Valley Raceway

Website:
Chuckwalla Valley Raceway (http://www.chuckwallavalleyraceway.com/?Name=Value)

Event:
1 Day 8am - 5pm Drift Event

Price:
250$ All day track access

Rules:
Chuckwalla requires insurance (which i will be checking further into as far as rules / regulations).

Have called up the track and they are interested in expanding there track in the direction of drift as they already host numerous events for Bikes / Supercars / Lap Days and things of that nature.

Who may come:
Anyone - Amateurs, pros, casual drifters.

Safety:
Helmets will be worn at all times on the track (to include passengers).
All vehicles will undergo safety / maintenance checks.

Safety checks include but are not limited to:
Secured Battery (no bungee cords holding them in)
leaks - oils, fuels, or anything that will come from your car onto the track.
tires (FRESH)
roll cages for those that choose to drive convertibles or soft tops.

Seems like a good amount of work will have to go into this, but it is all to make sure that everyone has a great day of fun.

Additional:
At the track if I see enough interest i can also spring the cash to open up Vending such as concessions and things like that.
Also, contacting some of the local Formula D drifters to see if they would be interested in showing up to support the drift community maybe also provided prizes for the drifters that place in the event.

Reply to this thread if you would like to participate or help with the logistics of the event.

AGAIN - THIS IS NOT SCHEDULED, IT IS JUST TO GAUGE INTEREST.

250dollars? Top.drift isn't even that much. Irwindale private events in the main track aren't that expensive either. I don't see anyone going to this with so many much cheaper and readily available events.

It would be worth it if it was non stop full track drifting

Ya, i would agree, i would enjoy a competition though.

As i said, this is to gauge interest, so thanks for the feed back.. i can setup somethin like that rather then a comp.

Maybe just a full on track day OPEN track kinda thing.

Like how they run htm drift events? But 250 is way crazy high. Anew chuckwalla is 3 hours from the LA area?

Way too far to justify the way too expensive price.

Pricing is based off interest. more people signing up, lower the price goes :D

As far as distance, other way around its far away for people out here to drive to goto events out there. lol. even so, its still an hour to an hour and a half away from me (but its the closest thing i got! lol)
