My chain was still tight, but one of the guides was gone (tight side) so new guides and tensioner. But I cheated cause I already had the motor out. And ill give you guys my hook up if you find me a s13 fule pump right now. Working

You are suppose to remove the top and side guide. super easy, do it yourself and learn. those bolts on the front cover is less than 20lbs of torque so hand tight is good, just make sure to clean the area and apply some silicon gasket maker.

and yes make sure to redo your distributor. http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/fix-your-timing-chain-rattle.html super easy.

genuine parts are where it's at and btw it is more than just the top tensioner you need to remove.

if u still have the noise its most likely the tensioner. just take off the valve cover and the front timing cover and ull see it. move it in and out while spraying wd40 on it and there should be a washer on the piston. when ur done, extend it the most u can with ur hand (as to avoid breaking it) and make sure the plastic or metal washer is all the way down (away from the chain). that solved my problem. if it doesnt stop after that then go buy the replacement from nissan. gluck!

so i finnally took the time to remove guide #2 and check the tensioner.
but now my car wont startt! haha
im guessing it has to do with my distributor.
how should i go about checking this
anybody have this problem before?
