Im about to order new springs for my 96 240sx and currently im looking at either the eibach sportlines or the tanabe superdowns.
Is 2 inch drops safe for daily driving like over bumps? I have eibachs on my 97 240sx and it goes over bumps pretty easily without doing the sideways thing (on some bumps). Also would the 2inch drop coupled with 205/55/r15 still can go over those concrete barriers in parking lots? thanks.

Assuming your a careful driver and know how to drive a lowered car in terms of steep driveways and bumps, 2" is nothing. My car is lowered like 3", mine is an S13.

OMG do I agree with Nitekids!!!!

Here is my car with a 1.75 drop in front and 1.5 out back. I would like it to be lower but it will effect the HICAS toe angle too much and I want to keep HICAS

I agree though - 2" is not enough. Mine's only lowered about 2 1/2 - 3", but I think closer to 3 1/2 or even 4" is just about right. (if you're riding on 15s like me) ... if you're on 17s, you might not "need" to drop it so much. :p

Nice wheels. Very nice... where'd you get them? ;D

I got them off of Adey here on the boards. He had them in the FS section here, it's funny because he couldn't find anyone to take them off of his hands.

He gave me a good deal. From what I hear it's pretty hard to find them since Volk hasn't produced them in almost 10yrs

LOL... how flattering. :D
Glad you like the wheels!! They were tough to let go of... but I've decided I kinda prefer spoked over mesh. heh heh.

it depends if your hangers sag as much as mine do. My N1 dual hangs pretty low

well it doesnt really sag and when i had them on my other 97 240sx that was 1.4 inches in the back i can go over bumps straight without scratching it.

Does tanabe still make the superdowns anymore? Cause they seem hard to find compared to alot of other springs. Do you guys know any sites that carry them for like 200 dollars?
