ok, it's a '95 LE 240sx (canadian)
i was at a stop light and it was raining. As I took off, I let the clutch go a little fast and the tires skid a little but there was a lot of vibration (felt like the car's bouncin up and down at the rear)
...so then i went to a desserted area and tested again and the same ****!
then i tested to see if i get this in a dry weather. so the weather was nice and sunny today and i tried to do a small burnout and the same exact response! it's supposed to be smooth...right?

ok so i try drifting. if i drift to the right (right turn), it's sooooo nice and smooth and beautiful. when i drift to the left, it's the same freakin vibration and a very unsmooth skidding. i believe it's a problem with the rear right wheel.

the other problem, when i'm goin around 60mph(100kph) steering wheel vibrates (i know i need balancing & alignment). but would that cause the extreme vibration?

oh yeah, when i'm on the highway and go from right lane to left, it's nice and smooth... even with bumps on the road, the lane change is smooth. but, if i'm changing lanes from left to right, and if there's even a sliiiiiightest bump on the road, my car feels like it pulls to left (rear) and the immediately to the right (rear)... kinda feels like an extremely minor fish-tail...

where's the lsd on my car? i can't see no sticker, is it towards the rear or in the middle of the car? someone got a picture to show how it's supposed to look on our 240's? if the lsd fluid is low, could it be causing the vibration on my car?

anyways, it's kinda confusing to understand what i'm saying but i hope someone can give me some input.. thanx

bouncing rear?
subframe
get subframe spacers
www.splparts.com

problem probably fixed (90% certain of this)

ALSO check your shocks..fi one direction so smooth and other isnt most likely blown shock AND/or bushings. check ALL

pulls to right..BAD TOE
GET AN ALIGNMENT ONLY WAY TO FIX IT!!!!!!!!

dont go by the sticker
jack up car
put in neutral
turn rear wheel
if other turns same way:VLSD
if other tunrs other way: OPEN DIFF
q answered. do this when you check your bushings and shocks

no flulid will not cause vibration

Same thing is wrong with my 95 240. I'm almost positive its ur shocks...check them. I have one shock completely blown in the back...its the right one and i fear getting on the interstate with it because i swerve everwhere when i hit a bump. And as far as the vibration...my does the same thing. Try pulling ur ebrake...turning both ways and that should give u an idea if its ur shocks or not.

first i would go with dousan i m thinking its the subframe get the spacers then worry about your shocks or replace/add both

i'm gonna have it all inspected first to see what's exactly wrong.

newbie question: what do the subframe spacers do and where are they located?

subframe spacer are installed to your rear subframe bushing, and they are designed to limit wheel hop. I believe they are mainly used to set a preload on your rubber bushing. But I hope you don't get them because they won't do a damn thing if your struts are bad. You should check those first and then add to your suspension.

ok i took my car to midas. the guy briefly looked at it and immediately told me that the bushings on both my struts are gone. he said that i might not be able to get replacement bushings and might just have to replace the struts...

ok.. so these 'subframe spacers' that everyone has recommended, are these also called bushings? sorry but i don't know too much about suspension

on subframe bushing is kinda away from strut bushing its not the same thing. you can get hyperflex kit, i think it has all the bushings. need to look in the manual.
