I bought most of the jdm goodies that I wanted and its time to start thinking about paint and body. I want to stay with the cars factory color on the vin plate (WKO) other wise nown as, Aspen Pearl glow?
I was thinking though, Iv got all the S14 k's aero, well almost. Im going to have all Silvia badging might as well make the thing an S-tune S14 Silvia. I researched the decals and the cost and I decided im going to put them under the clear coat but I have some concerns and I would like to see some more pics before I commit. Here is how I think the decals are supposed to go.
Slash across hood from passenger head light toward the driver seat
Stripe down the side's
Nismo emblem over driver side head light
Nismo under both mirrors
I need to know where the s-tune and the last nismo decals go goes.
Thanks in advance

putting stickers under a clearcoat is fucking stupid
not only would it look like shit since the clearcoat would have lumps from the sticker thickness, but when the sticker comes off so does the clear coat. Learn to use your brain
also, look at a fucking picture instead of asking people to look at them for you

 Cant we all just get along?
I did look at about 50 Zillion pictures FYI! I am trying to find the correct placment of the Nismo and S-tune badging.
I figured putting them under the clear coat would insure a longer life and a better color for longer use. I think this is using my brain?
Thank you to the rest that gave helpfull positive criticism.
That S15 has the correct badging I think. I like the stripes down the side but that sash over the hood is a bit much? It takes big Nismo balls to rock thast thing. Im still on the ropes but I think Im going to stay with the plan of an S-tune Silvia *REPLICA*.
Thank you very much.:coold:
Listen dude, I don't know of any car manufacturers that put stickers under the clear coat, they all get 'stuck' on afterwards. if you want them to last longer then take care of your car by parking in a garage or using a car cover.
Side note, +1000 for whomever tagged this thread :)

^^ Agreed.
If you really want them to last you should paint them on there or use a good vinyl ( 5-7 year)
I don't see why everyone has to attack the dude, its his car, he can do what he wants with it. I understand giving your opinion but bullying isn't doing much but make you look like a d1ck.
The S-tune should go next to the Nismo one under the mirror, and the last Nismo should go where the factory SE emblem goes.
Maybe these will help, they all seem to have the same placement between cars:

iv painted cars for a while and i have did clear over the stickers and they come out fine after you wet sand a buff so there is no high spots. and with the clear over it it wont get weathered so let him do what he wants. even if he used paint he would have high spots and would have to wet sand also so either way hes in the clear! and the for clear coat to come off it isnt good clear then.

if you paint of the sticker the clear is going to peel. how are you gunna scuff up a sticker without ruining the acctual sticker? paint the car, then while its clean and fresh and shiny put all the stickers/decals on.

That is the Nismo picture for the S15 S-Tune body kit. S-tune didn't exist when the S14 was out so there is nothing to replicate.
The S15 would be your best guide to emulate the S-Tune style. The Versa, El Grand, Stagea, 350z all follow the same pattern.
Paint lasts longer then any vinyl will. Putting them under is just setting yourself up for a re-clear down the road.

ummm....why not just have it PAINTED on??? it's not like it's some airbrush...it's a fucking pin stripe with a checkered flag at the end....I could do this at home teaching a monkey how to apply stickers to paint over.

If you send me a high res image of your desired "S-tune" decal i can make a couple for you with 5-7 year outdoor life. Or i can make you 20 of them, so you can replace them every 5 years for the next 50 years! (assuming you need one per side).
