I'm just learning this but tell me if I'm right or wrong.
When buying a component set of speakers, they normally come with tweeters, woofers and crossovers.
Those woofers are technically the same thing as midrange speakers because with the crossovers you can tell them to pick up only midrange frequencies.
I'm just confused because I always thought woofers were only for the bass. But all these component systems I'm looking at only come with tweeters and woofers, not midrange speakers.
So then I can get a subwoofer and make the tweeters dedicated to high frequencies, woofers dedicated to mid frequencies and subwoofers dedicated to low frequencies?
