In our previous thread you can see I came across a few more hatches

After selling two we found out they have fitment issues along the sides (warped in), the top section has a small gap and the latch needs some adjustment. Our CF and CK ones fit spot on, but for some reason these had problems.

I will sell these for $200 picked up or $350 shipped.

hey man, i had the same issues with my fiber glass one after i installed it two days ago...i bought mine back in janurary and i just barely had my installed with real glass for an extra hundred, not with that cheap plexy glass you guys sent with it and in the end the fittings are hella off..i will send you more pix tomorrow..and i paid twice as much for the same item..i like to discuss more about this later..it looks alright from far away, but not up close..really disappointed in this company..

You should be able to get it on and adjust the latch to work, but it just won't seal well.

That order wouldn't be from me, but I pm'd you to get some more information. Also that cheap plexy is Lexan and is sold with all of our hard tops and hatches.

Looking from a distance you couldnt tell there is a fitting problem, but up close you can see there is a large gap. Like i said the "Lexan" glass you guys sent with the seal did not even fit correctly. I even called back a few month ago and tried to talk to the guy that who first sold me this product (who did not work there anymore at the time of the call) to find out more about how to fix the problem with the lexan issue. Someone transferred me to a person who installs these products and later found out that they have not installed the lexan glass on one of the product..... I spent one month looking for a shop who would do it and there wasnt one who would be welling to do it because they hated putting windows into custom products like these. I was lucky enough to find someone who was passionate enough about their job to do it..and it turned out great..overall I liked how it came out, but wished the fitments were better..please contact me for more info and i am sorry for blasting on your post instead of emailing to you which i tried to message you, but could not post up the pictures on the message..weird..may be its just me

well it kinda rained the other day here in fresno, ca when i installed it..but it did not rained hard enough to tell you if its good..im kinda scared to actually wash it..i will be washed soon..so i will let ya know..and as of the other day where it showered it was okay..surprisingly the trunk sits onto the seals of the stock seals..but only time will tell for now..

not sure yet..really havent notice much..i will do my best tomorrow..but i think the best thing to say is that not all will come the way mine did..but as for mine i will drive it tomorrow around town and on the free way to listen for more noise..it does rattle a little when on rough road..but imma try to fix that somehow..

The cf ones I never had a problem with. The frp ones are what gave me issues.

The $100 to install real glass I wouldn't do anything for because no one else has said they couldn't get the window installed. All I can do at this point is offer you parts for another order/discount, although this option never seems to please people.

These were manufactured from a replica mold of the BN hatch. They are not a genuine BN hatch obviously. Look at this link and under where it says "Manufacturer" Search Results : Chaser Aerodynamics, LLC. Notice there isn't a Chaser logo there. It's our product from our factory, but technically we didn't make them.

No, that's not what I'm doing. I have three customers who have reported bad fitting hatches. Only 3. One was a cf top, which received full refund and yesterday purchased a damaged frp one so he could work with it. The other three, including Xeemer, I could do nothing for them.

Money isn't coming from my pocket. I am the sales rep not the accountant or the owner. I will do everything in my power to cut a deal on better parts and take off huge percentages, but I can't just send people money.

I was the one who sent him the pic of the hatch and the hatch fit pretty well. As with any after market item a little work has to be done to make it fit like it should. Joe has been great with his customer service and I am also pleased with the fitment and quality of all the pieces I ordered from him, I would recommend them to anyone who's looking to get aero for their car.

This is kinda true it shoud say bn style or bn replica....but with the experience I have had with aftermarket body panels is nothing ever fits 100% there will always be some modification necessary. I am not saying it should have terrible fitment but they always require some "fidgeting".

The rear fitment is not too bad. I say it's slightly better than the real BN part

This is an interior shot with the latch. The latch is way off. When bolted onto the hatch, the bracket wouldn't touch the latch with the hatch all the way down.

I took the bracket off and manually put into the latch and lowered the hatch to see how far off it is. It's probably 1/2-3/4" off.

You are absolutely correct. The Chaser part is better than the original part. You guys fixed a lot of the rear fitment issue and added a trunk latch, a window kit, and other stuff.

The only issue I have left is the water leak on the side fitment.

I think I have a solution for the sides so I will call you again in a few.

Currently we are not doing much with the hatch. I do plan to redo the mold and have them done properly. I am selling them "as-is" and all the issues are known prior to purchase. There are many comments in this thread about the fitment and price point.

Suggestions are more fiberglass and heat to fix the edges and you need washers for the latch.

Got mine installed today...yes I'm aware the paint is chitty lol but it fits really well. Put a few washer on the latch put it on, and just a little weather stripping...no leaks at all.

I ordered one from the first batch i believe. Fitment is "alright" but for the price i paid and it being fiberglass, im happy. This thing is so light and the stock hatches weigh so much!
But heres some pics of mine installed but no back glass as of yet.

Chaser: I cant figure out how to put the back glass in with the weather stripping..can you guys give me any tips?

Dude this thread is well over a year old. In the future, just send a pm to the OP. and no. These are not being made any more. They all fit poorly, chaser liquidated em for dirt cheap because of it.

how the f**k is chaser still in business? especially after you guys screwed over a Canada shop. ordered $20k worth of shit, and the owner said f*** off an gave them 2 bumpers... and joe, steve, mike, pete...whatever your name is this week, or if your actually a new guy. stop with the "imma make this place better" shit. i have personally been there, and done that. the owner DOES NOT give 2 flying f**ks about whatever customer base is left, let alone his employees.

for EVERYONE else:the owner has some bullsh*t company in china make ALL his kits. the product will never get better, simply because he pays dirt cheap (like $50 a kit) to have these made. and as long as they "look" close. then he doesnt care. oh and DONT buy if its not in stock, you'll never get it. and the reasoning why the hatches are "bent, not right, etc" is because there thrown around, stacked sh*t on top of them, etc.

new guy, you need to get the hell outta there while you can, and while he doesnt owe you a lot. otherwise it will get to the point that he owes you $4k for a paycheck, while your being slammed with ebay/paypal charges for listing junk that never sells. the company is a f'ing joke, and it will always be one. the products suck, management sucks, customer service will ALWAYS suck, and ownership just flat out BLOWS.

oh and as far as giving someone a full refund? i call complete bullsh*t on that. no one has EVER gotten a refund, EVER. the accountant lady DOES NOT exist. the bullsh*t he feeds you about "her" coming in every friday night is a flat out lie.

Considering inverted hatches are cool for the ten seconds of novelty, and then you realize that you still have a hatch with quarter windows, and it's just ugly as hell.

i am sooo mind blown by this. most if not all of my customers from there have followed me. i keep a very strict no bullsh*t attitude when it comes to my work. after hearing them f*cking over the northerners. the Canadians waited 3 months for their products to be shipped, finally said they were coming down to pick up. they actually came down, owner said his words, ran, hid, stuck only 2 bumpers out back. told them your $20,000 order is out back an waiting. they walked out, he locked up the store an rolled out. they were shocked to all hell, and when walked back around to confront, they realized that he closed shop and left, and completely, 100% f**ked them..... i have seen it personally him and the manager do it with everyday customers on smaller pricing things. but $20 grand....Jesus you got balls and a death wish.

A buddy of mine got an instant g kit and hood from them. I don't remember what hood, but it turned out to be for a miata. After days of phone calls and emails he finally just gave up and took the hit.

they just grab what looks like it "could" be and ship it. how they get over on people. its stated on the receipt to open, inspect and look at it while the truck driver is present. once he leaves, that means you gave them your approval. and thats f**ked up. then when you call them, they try to give you or charge you a low fee, but you still have to pay shipping. so they try to get more money out of you, not pay for return shipping, and some other sh*t. its extremely annoying. especially being a sales rep there, and not being able to do whats right.

as far as putting them outta business, you have to get people to STOP buying from them, and stop putting up with their sh*t. thats never going to happen. people see cheap $$$ signs, so they take the risk. i wish they would tho. im so tired of seeing them f**k people over, and it really sucks still getting messages/emails if i still work there, cuz people only wanna go thru me.

But sadly they ended/canceled the "chaser aero" name that people have been raped by oh so much, and opened the same bullshit business and shop under a different name. Same address. Prob same numbers. When I get home after this holiday I'll drive by and post the "new" name of the company.

Everything they make is shit. Chaser uses older, worn, beat up used molds from other companies. And has China make their shit. Stay away from that company period
