View Full Version : steering wheel off center after installing rear suspension links
installed some rear multilinks, including RUCA, toe and traction rods. only jacked the car up from the rear, never touched the front suspension at all. my problem is that the wheel is now not centered when driving straight. i plan on getting an alignment soon due to new parts, but why would my steering wheel be off center when i never touched the front suspension? could i have damaged something when i jacked the car up? or can the rear being misaligned cause this?

Get it aligned. The rear wants to go a different direction then the front so youre having to compensate.

get it aligned, most likely it's just a toe issue with the back end since you did install the toe rods
the car is steering from the rear. you shouldn't install suspension parts unless you plan on getting an alignment immediately after. wait too long and your tires are going to be shot
