ok my tranny sounds like its going in reverse when going forward in each gear this just started like 2 weeks ago.

Also when idling i hear a little noise, as soon as i press on the cluth pedal it goes away. some kind of bearing? also i've noticed a bit of slipping.

thoughts?

I don't remember what that is, maybe the throw-out bearing
I definately remember seeing a post about that before though a while ago. Try a search.

ok replace the throwout bearing the pilot bearing the pressure plate the clutch disk and while the tranny is down have the flywheel resurfaced. Short answer replace the clutch assmebly and resurface your flywheel

u may want to check on your tranny fluid make sure its not to low. i had a similar problem just as u said. and my rear tranny seal was busted and alot of my fluid leeked. i put some redline in there and the noise was alot quieter. give it a shot. but the clutch slipping miles well change it all out as the guy abouve said. and resurface the flywheel its important u do that. change both barrings. and swithc to redline at the same time.

woah check the fluid level asap. If you hear the gears that much it can only mean they are not being muffled by the oil anymore.

If its not that, the only other thing I can think of is a shot pilot bearing. This is not that hard to replace if you have the tools to move the engine or drop the tranny. Otherwise, labor will be quoted to you at whatever the books says in terms of hours to remove the tranny.

Or you can get a hookup somewhere and get it done for 100? 200 bucks maybe. Its not that hard to drop a tranny.

question: what happens if you replace your clutch but dont replace the pilot bearing?

You dont necessarily have to replace the darn thing. You can choose not to change it, just make sure you clean it thoroughly.
