GWB654 Finally Complete Build(For Now)

First i would like to thank my family and friends especially my wife and Hulkster_S13. i couldn't have done it with out you! So a little background on me first. Born and raised on the island of oahu. Started karting at the age of 10, Hawaii State Karting Champion in 2001 KT100 class. Racing is in my family. My dad race’s a DB1 FF in the San Francisco region SCCA. I have been in to 240sx since 1999, drifting since 2003. Got out of the drifting scene due to the only raceway park on our island shut down(still no track due to dirty politics!!!!!). I purchased this s13 in april of 2007 for the price of a whooping $700 with a 180sx type x black top. Only running on three cylinders. compression test reveals cylinder #4 zero compression, Leak down test on #4 reveals that a intake valve stuck open. So i decide i am going to do a full rebuild. After removal of the head it is revealed that a washer had some how got in between the valve and head keeping it open. So the build began. Due to the high cost of shipping to hawaii i would wait till i had some cash to throw away in shipping before i ordered stuff. It took a long time to get all the parts. yup 1.25 is the going rate for spam musubi and we can still get spam eggs and rice from the Mcdonalds drive thru. i for got to say that all work was done by me and hulkster_s13. all machine work was done at Snyders in waipahu, tune was and is going to be done by sean at Munky Wurks Garage. thanks for all the comments!

quick update,
found a small oil leak on the upper oil pan so i pulled the motor and re did the seal.i have been really busy with life and havent had much time to put it back together. got to work on it this three day weekend here are some pics. hope to be on the road asap to get the motor ready for a power tune. thanks for all the positive comments.

another update. after putting the motor back together again i ran across a build in which they had the same problem as me sealing the upper oil pan turns out if you have ARP main bolts they are too long and some modifications are needed. so me and my buddy hulkster_s13 pulled it all apart tonight and the main bolts were the culprit. shaved the oil pan and all re-assembled in less than 4 hours. so it is almost done.

little up date.
i installed a new power steering system including steering rack pump and all the plumbing. havent worked on the car to much due to my wife giving birth 7 weeks early to my son Garrett. and since this build is coming to a end i have my eyes set on the next project. i am hoping to pick this 1931 ford model A up in the next week! not a S chassi but i have a thing for old cars and i cannot pass on this deal! i will keep you guys posted. thanks for looking.

so i a quick update. i had the car wet sanded and buffed by my boy mark at plan B fabrications and i entered it in the 2011 spocom hawaii car show. it being my first car show i had no idea what to expect. it went very well the publics response to the car was overwhelming! i met alot of cool people and cant wait to do it again. i ended up taking second in the JDM class. which is not bad considering the majority of the cars are made in japan!!! here are some pics that i took from the show and some from other photographers from stance nation, Groove entertainment, and helluvarides.

and FUCK RECON! haha. You aint gonna get it the second they see that rollcage. Even if you try hard to hide it. Recon is just not worth it to get here. Even if you do, its just gonna get taken away by the pigs. They will do whatever it takes to take the legit papers away n WILL SUCCEED n taking it away, so dont even bother. I mean your not gonna be dailying that beast so no worries on recon...or are you :0. Just use something else as a daily (like us all here we get one beat me up van or something haha). Cause the pigs see your car, they will bother you...THEN if you have the recon sticker, they gonna pull you over faster then you can blink cause it most likely wont be at legal specs (cause i know you aint gonna make it a monster truck height n everyone fails on coils unless you rock blown shocks drop springs and just write "coilovers")

and FUCK RECON! haha. You aint gonna get it the second they see that rollcage. Even if you try hard to hide it. Recon is just not worth it to get here. Even if you do, its just gonna get taken away by the pigs. They will do whatever it takes to take the legit papers away n WILL SUCCEED n taking it away, so dont even bother. I mean your not gonna be dailying that beast so no worries on recon...or are you :0. Just use something else as a daily (like us all here we get one beat me up van or something haha). Cause the pigs see your car, they will bother you...THEN if you have the recon sticker, they gonna pull you over faster then you can blink cause it most likely wont be at legal specs (cause i know you aint gonna make it a monster truck height n everyone fails on coils unless you rock blown shocks drop springs and just write "coilovers")

been awhile since a updated. I havent done much to my car, but i got some time to get my car tuned so i thought i would post up the dyno sheets.Tune was done my Sean at munky works. So on 92 octane pump gas at 21psi it made 435hp 358trq. I am Stoked! it is a total different beast to drive now!! I see some room for improvement but cash is tight so i dont know whats next!

Well I lost all my pics from the first two years and the last two are on FB. Like most the kids I wanted to slide at the beginning, so I took my close to perfect condition sohc hatch and learned. I had a blast...now it's a s13.4 with a 325whp s15 sr. Problem is it looks like I didn't give a fuck bout keeping it clean n I hate it. Got a pile of new parts to install including parts for a mint conversion, engine rebuild, s14 subframe, shit like that.
