Hey everyone, I've done a fair amount of research and tried to pinpoint someone with the Super Angle Kit from PSM, but no luck...
Basically, today I installed the SAK with the PSM inner tie rods and the Stance "Super Angle, Maximum Angle Kit" outter tie rods on my S13 and I'm hitting my tension rods on full lock. Current front wheel specs are 17x9.5 +10, and often is 18x9 +5. I assume I need to decrease caster, but don't know what a good setting would be, and want to see what others are running. Any input would be great, thanks! (=

Cornell, I don't know what you're talking about exactly, but shut up. I'm trying to get some info. LOL We're going to battle this weekend regardless...

come 20mm spacers and camber should help. A little camber up front always helps for stability during drifting I've noticed, I run about -3 degrees with a 17x9.5 -5

I'm currently -2 camber... I thought there would be another way around this, but I guess not, so I'm making new bumpstops for it now. OH wellllll!
If my car feels unstable in the front now, that's probably due to need of alignment, right?

yo!
So check it out. I have a s14 too pretty low, stance +pros yadda yadda. 18x9.5-5 up front. 225/35 tire. -4.1 degress of camber. 7 degrees of caster.
I had the same problem. when you have the entire kit on is your toe messed up at all?
I used z32 inners, CS outters, that "50 dollars ps rack spacer" by GEORGE and I had too much angle/toe. (I had the same problem where the wheels wouldnt hit the bumpstop, but hit the tension rods instead) I ended up needing to take that damn spacer off, put those 7mm PBM spacers on and cutting my inner tie rods about. 7 threads on each side.
(Ive looked at the SAK and it looked pretty similar to the setup that I just pieced together)
Just run a lower offset wheel or 20+mm spacer

Yeah I have a rack spacer too, it came with the Stance Super Angle outter tie rods. I have the PSM inner tie rods as well, which I have cut about 22mm off of the passenger side for the rack spacer to work. Either way, I'm just adding up to my bump stops because if I run spacers the wheel will rub everything all over, to include the firewall...
Either way, that's my plan for the angle issue, I'm going to make larger bumpstops.
However, at this point my car still has an unstable floating feeling. I'm going to go in as soon as possible and get an alignment, and hopefully it fixes itself. Unless anyone else has any other ideas...

Why is that? If I do, the tie rod will no longer reach the knuckle without significantly adjusting the outter tie rods to a point that it would be dangerous to drive on. I'm going to have to leave it in.

Tried to respond on GED, but for some reason it wouldn't let me. Just go get an alignment and throw those spacers on there. You're going to have to get wider fenders or something, as there's really no way around this bud.
But go get an alignment, and go from there. 7 degrees of caster is too much, go stock or a little bit less. stock is like 6.7 or something around there, and stock toe, maybe a little bit out.
After the alignment, it'll feel soooo much better man.

I'm counting on it! I have 30mm over now, hopefully I'll be able to decrease caster some, but I think it's maxed right now on Yamato Garage tension rods. May need to switch that game up!
Thanks for all your help though! (=

Yeah, I pretty much had to, but it should be all good. Let's just knock out this alignment! WOOOO!!!

I know most people resolve their issues on here and never really say what worked. So I just want to clear this up and say the correct answer lies above.
I got an alignment, and my caster was and still is around 6.4ish and my toe was slightly in, but pretty damn close for an eyeball alignment. However, producing a neutral to SLIGHT toe out, has brought the handling of this car to life!
People don't really ever talk about the SAK when it's installed either, so I just want to touch on driveability as well. Basically (as I assumed it would be) the steering response is very sensitive, and fast now. This is by no means any issue when it comes to the driveability, it's (imo) pretty great. However, if you drive on either a crappy track, or if you daily your car at all, be sure that you're hanging on to the wheel if you hit any bumps or pot holes. I won't say that the steering wheel FLIES out of your hands... but it definitely jerks around quite a bit. At low speeds (parking lots) I don't recommend "showing off" your JDMTITE angle, because it just feels awkward. I personally would assume it's from the ackerman, it's more suited for medium-high speeds and of course SLIDING.
Sunday I'll be at the track testing it all out and I'll be sure to post a little more in regards to the PSM SAK and hopefully give some of the future purchasers out there a good idea of what they can expect when purchasing, installing, and driving.
