Ok so I'm looking to retune my SR20DET to run about 300hp+ (w/e the tuner can get it to but thats what I'm expecting), and I know the stock sr20det AFM's are only good for about 250hp.

I know the most common upgrade is the Z32 AFM but I can't find one for sale atm,

So....

my question is since I've heard of people running 2x Z32 for high output 26det's, so could I run 2x SR20DET AFM's? or 2x RB20DET AFM's? as I can get my hands on these easily, as I have a bunch mates that have them lying around cause they've upgraded.

and a side question,

Anyone used a aftermarket Z32 AFM? (replica i presume) they any good? cause there just as expensive as the real one but they're new.

The orange label N62 MAF is available in a ton of different cars that came with VG30's. Look harder, they're all over the place, even in NZ.

I dont under stand how he can.

If you do that the ECU will be reading twice the Voltage than it should.
Say the normally the stock MAFS put out .5v at idle well if running 2 then it will be receiveing 1.0v
If it does that it'll pretty much run pig rich and not run.

Just get a N62 and be done with it.

It's easy, you just half the k-value and scale the load scale of your fuel and timing maps by half.

Agreed, it's like tuning from 1995. Just run the N62 is my call. You will NEVER know if the flow through the MAFs is the same.

OK seems more complicated then I thought, I though you could jst run them in parrellel and do some simple wiring or something, I'll jst wait till a z32 one comes on the market thats a decent/normal price.

Or ...

Does anyone know if them aftermarket ones I was talking about any good/legit?

No direct experience, but I've heard very mixed things about the aftermarket ones. Just get a real deal one, clean it and you'll be good to go forever.

I'm not sure how you can't find one... If you're looking for something to give away that's not going to happen. All over ebay and there's quit a few that pop up here often.

I don't live in America ... (I live in New Zealand), I'm not looking for a give away, just looking for one at a good/decent price, all the ones for sale are from wreckers who want $400 nzd for them. Most people sell them 2nd hand for about $200- $300 in nz
