Ok I'm planning on doing the hx35 turbo swap and need a ecu... What the best way without dropping a ton of money into an ecu?

Has anyone used the "Jim wolf" ecu setup??? How much is it to chip my stocker?
Any good deals going on or has someone found a good deal on a used aftermarket stand alone?

You can use a Z32 ecu with nistune. You will have to repin some stuff and get it tuned but it works. Or just buy a quality ecu since it is such an important part.

I'm kinda on a budget so I can't go out and buy a 2500 ecu but I do have some money to spend....

What would you prefer?

I have a Z32 ECU with Nistune in my RB25 S14, however I have not yet driven the car. The car started with it, however it ran poorly. It may have been because I had a Z32 MAF hooked up, but I have not yet started diagnosing it. I will also be running an HX35 turbo, and have purchased an externally gated turbine housing for it. I am not sure when I will be installing it, but check in later....

The car in an old thread....

are you comfortable with a Stand Alone? have you considered a Haltech solution?
