i've ben lusting after all of the current motorswap fads...
drooling about the custom cross members and mounts.

when most "people" fabricatecustom mounts, do they retain the idea of a rubber isolator, or run hard (ie aluminum / steel) mounts

if using a rubber isolator, are they usually a relocation bracket for stock, or does someone cast their own rubber mounts?

something you may want to look into is called motor plates. my buddy used them to great effect on his v8 fcrx7 project. its basically just a big plate that is bolted to your engine to hold it and then attached to the frame directly, or through some kind of vibration reducer (a hockey puck or two would work if you wanted to go cheap). go search on google for motor plates and im sure you will find some information.

Our mount kit uses the stock 240 front crossmember with custom adapers and new custom rubber mounts and a new custom trans crossmember and mount. [email protected]
