those ground controls aren't true coilovers right? there's no height adjustment. guys in japan usually get coilovers like tein, apexi, hks that can adjust the height between ~2-3 inches. those could even get back to stock ride height.

Oh my God. Your signature, "A dollar a day keeps the rice accessories away" is ashamed to be in that post.
Cutting springs is one of the worst things you can do. Thats why they make lowering springs. When you cut a spring, it doesnt' have the structural strength that it used to have. It also doesn't keep the car driving comfortably, and more importantly, stabily. You also run the risk of damaging the other elements of the suspension, as they are relying on the springs to carry some of the load.
Its just a bad idea.

the ground controls are nice. just put them in so they need to settle another 1/2 or so.
the back lowers like crazy but the fronts aren't as low. Once they settle it should look sweet. I do think that Teins lower the car slightly over 3" though. I guess it's also the rim setup. I've never seen a 240 slammed with 15" rims on except for show suspension.
The ground-controls are adjustable height. I'm not sure how the sportlines look but since they claim 2" and GC claims 2.5 plus settling it most likely is lower.

no really? of course it destroys everything on the car and lets not forget ride comfort. he asked how do they get them so low. well thats a way. then of course theres proper ways! and why is my signature bad? i dont get it
There is a variety of high quality suspension systems you see them use on Option Videos. Some of the most common are JIC Magic, Endless/ZEAL, TIEN, Cusco, & HKS. The ones used are full coil over systems ranging from 1200.00 to about 2500.00. If interested in any of the above let me know. I currently use the JIC Magic set up and would recommend it to others as well.

yo takumi123, any pics of your car? how low does the JIC magic setup go? I don't mind harsh handling. actually I prefer it. I like to feel the road.
Luey: I"m still running on stock rims and tires. can't afford that right now. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('> spending it all on the engine:)

DO NOT CUT THE SPRINGS ON YOUR CAR!
The idiot that owned my S-14 before me cut the springs, and it rides like crap. Trying to save for new suspension, plus I need new tires because they didnt wear right (bald on the inside). He didnt lower it that much, where it is slammed or anything but you can tell, in the looks and in the ride.
