View Full Version : Recaro U.S.A. vs. Recaro Japan seat brackets?

was wondering if there is any difference between Recaro seat brackets from the USA vs. the brackets from Japan....

i just put my Wedge seat brackets against my Recaro sliders/seats and fitment SUCKS!!!!
3 out of the 4 holes only line up, stock seat belt wont fit, Recaro sits really high :mad:

Thats what happens with USDM slider, they SUCK. Put you like 5 feet off the ground and dont even fit well. I have Recaro SRDs and have JDM no-name sliders that are just as low as bride sliders and fit AWESOME. Try contacting Jspec to see if you can get some of these (its where mine were from originally). Also I have heard that bride rails can work on SRD if modified. Well worht it cause it fits car better and is MUCH lower.

what kind of brackets are you using though?
I dont really have a problem with my RECARO sliders at all, they fit perfect to the Recaro seat and is only about less than 2 inches tall....they mount to the Wedge bracket pretty well, but my Wedge Brackets wont line up all 4 holes and cant use the stock seat belts....

my gripe here are the Wedge brackets and need to know if there are differences between RECARO USA brackets vs. RECARO Japan brackets...i'll be callin Recaro tommorow, but it's nearly impossible to get on the phone with them.. :mad:

which model RECARO you have exactly? They make didfferent mounts for different seats... is your mount a steel or alumnium piece?

Heartwork: jason has the ones i sold him. they used to be mine, i had mentioned them to you in previous threads.

my friend called recaro 2 times in the past week w/ no problems it seems. maybe you are selecting the wrong option?

i have the RECARO Speeds which took over the SRD line....i wasnt aware that Recaro made specific seat sliders for specific seats....not sure if mine are universal or not, but they fit perfectly on my seat and are a little under 2" in height...

Dousan: Jason said he had no name JDM seat brackets, would you happen to know what brand and where you got them from....possibly one that would fit Recaro's width

i got them from jspec about 1.5 years ago. sam just happened to get them and didnt order them, just came w/ his stuff. i dont know/doubt/notsure if he can get more. might inquire with him, i just got lucky. we were both under the impression then that srd and brix were same so i bought them..ends up they werent when we test fitted it w/ a brix. doh. so i sold them because im a BRIX man.


they are no name beause they are no name. as in no name or company writtenon them. they just say s13 s14 s15 i think. just teh chassis and thats it! no other info or branding is on them.

Actually they only say S13 on them. I would atleas try Jspec. Arent these no name sliders always in back of drift tengoku and ****?

who knows. could be a small shop could be those in mags. coudl by anything. that's why they are mystery rails.

Jason- if your gonna sell the seat brackets any time, lemme know....im in dire need and dont wanna run WEDGE any longer :\

Holy shiznizzle I am BLIND, and these are IN my car too!!!

Heart: Sorry dude I wont be selling these rails, WAY too rare and I like them too much. I find that the SRD is perfect for me. I spent a lot of time seat shopping cause I didn't care about rails. Personally if I were you, go to the Archives in this fourm and read the FAQ on how to modify recaro sliders. Screw wedge. Either JDM sliders or fab up your own.
