set-up.
Sr20det black top SR, stock turbo, FMIC, HKS SSqv, Q45 fuel pump, Greddy IM, sard FPR (set at ~43.5, no vac), catback. Greddy breather tank, hoses routed correctly, nismo stat. koyo rad.
#62 ECU with redtop harness, and o2 sensor
tucked chassis harness, just the wires AFTER the SMJ plug, (ie engine bay side) wires were cut and shortned one wire at a time, checked continuity after wires were cut, all good.

problem
motor starts, but i have to open T/B plate all the way for it to start. usually takes seveal tries to get it to start.
1st time i started it, motor would not rev at all, no matter how much i opened T/B
changed plugs, they were wet,

checked ignition, getting 12V to coilpacks, also tried different ignitior

2nd time
finally it ran...still wouldnt start up w/o opening T/B BUT once running idle is terrible fluctuates, probably around 650-1000, not certain bc tach isnt working. Motor reved up ok, proabably a little sluggish but still reved. Also water temp rises rapidly. warmed up w/in 5mins, then temp needle started to climb, so i shut it off.

what i have tried so far
checked ecu harness, all wires have continuity to ecu and appropriate pin(s)
cleaned MAF, and checked signals, 12V to black/white, ~5V to white.
cleaned, then replaced IACV (used)
plugs were wet, changed.
restabbed CAS.
i checked the yellow/red wire from ECU to tach, and i have continuity, so i checked the cluster, grounds checked, and i cleaned the screws for tach signal (the have a small amount of corrosion on them) havnet tired to start motor since, so not sure if that will fix the tach problem.

what i plan on trying
new CTS
double check CAS
check injectors (leaking etc)
check TPS

is there anything that i am missing to check?

any suggestion or advise greatly appreciated!
