Well the title got you reading, but I was just wondering if anyone can tell me what on a redtop SR20 I would need to replace, or add to put down 400+hp to the wheels? So far I plan to.....

1.Upgrade to HKS stage 2 264 degree intake and exhaust cams.
2.HKS Rocker arm stoppers.
3.Walbro fuel pump
4.550cc injectors or larger. Can anyone tell me what size I'll need?
5.Spec stage 3 clutch.
6.T4 or larger turbo and manifold. Can anyone tell me if this is a large enough size turbo?
7.Some brand boost controller(Obviously).
8.Some type of piggyback fuel management.

I'm not sure if I need a FPR or RRFPR, I am also not sure if I would need to replace the MAF, and if so should I use a 300zx MAF?

you will DEFINATELY need that 300zx MAFS. stock SR mafs is maxing out buy the time you get to like 250rwhp.

wow dave! not tyring to sound like a dick, but you should search this one. A lot of the info you can find very easily on search, infact if would be more benficial to you b.c hten you can see everyones opinions and their decisions without having to wait. not to mention avoid this risk of some [email protected]$$ like me flaming.(not that i am)
anyways, i'm @ school so i have to keep it short, but i can help you with a couple things.
1. nice choice on the cams
2. nice choice with the rocker are stoppers, what are you gonna do with everything in the head, replace with oem parts? (i.e valvesprings, retainers, etc.)
3.255lph should be fine
4. with the bigger injectors you may wanna think bout getting a new fuel rail, FPR, and possible hard fuel lines(that'd be a cool mod)
5. Good clutch, check out enjuku
6.Turbo-do some searching, you'll find something good. Mani-go with that tubular bent steel one i told ya bout.
7.Greddy profec, theres a coupel for sale on e-bay, and theres even some in the forsale section on zilvia.
8.pick up stock ecu with ur wiring harness from jspec or soemwhere, and then get it reprogrammed by JWT or chipped.

yes you wanna go with the z32 or even a cobra mAFs. z32 ones you can often find in junkyards really cheap, infact i saw one the other day @ u-wrench-it. i dont believe it plus righ tup, but the wiring is simple, you've messed with ur maf wiring b4.

Hope this helps some, correct me if i'm wrong on anyting, you know i talk(type) out of my @$$

Hey, I'll IM you today, but i got a RB25 maf you could buy..... deffinately gonna need 720cc injectors for that kind of hp. now way 550's will do.

piggyback fuel management is not the best for your application. you should either get a retuned ecu or a full standalone. maybe an apex power fc or better ones out there like haltech, motec, etc..

you will probably need bigger injectors. step up to 720s or 800+ cc/min.

as for turbo, you should go for a big28 or t3/t4 at most. that should be adequate. t4 for more power but more lag as well. unless your car isn't for the street.

dont get a "piggy back" or tuned ecu...just go full stand alone. I have heard nothing but good things about the autronic. 2-3 of the 240 guys down here use them. One guy had exhaust, intake, boost control set to .75 (i think) and a autronic and he dynoed at 247rwhp. Thats with stock turbine, intercooler, cams, etc. I have seen guys with S15 turbos, cams, "tuned ECUs", and such only put down 250rwhp.

Tuning sure does make all the difference, but is it really worth the $2,000+?

Weisco or corillio rods. T3/T4 hybrid turbo should be just fine. And you will need all valve springs/retainers and stuff. Stock crank will be fine. Fuel rail is not necessary. You'll need a big FMIC obviously.

Stand alone fuel management. Motec system exhaust. That SR should pull a premium, get some nitrous, tune the NOS timer and youll run 9's. Not a bad way to spend $10,000.

If you're going to quote a horrible movie at least do it right.

Cold air intake.. nos fogger system.. aic controller...

And a stand alone fuel management system. Not a bad way to spend ten thousand dollars.

Stupid me. Let me go pull that movie out of the garbage so I can get the quotes right. But....You actually memorized that? Ouch

Well.. one thing you will DEFINATELY need, which no one has seemed to mention.. is MONEY.. and LOTS of it. I am sure that wont come cheap, brothas and sistas.
