my friend want his cluster riced up so he asked me to install those ebay light things.. anyways.. as i was installing the vinyle cover on the tach.. i moved it and know it is not sensitive anymore? is there a way to fix it?

and secondly for myself:

i bought a front clip from a jdm shop up here in canada and the cluster in the dash: well all the needles were off their mark.. are they all auto adjusting..

basically in both situations.. can tachometeres and other analog gauges be fixed or must they be replaced as a whole?

Are you talking about guage face lay-ins? When installing them, did you hit the needles? Sometimes if the needles aren't "sitting" properly, they have a hard time rotating and give an accurate reading.

Sounds like the needle is sticking. Push hard on the needle, then pull it out lightly.
