Alright guys I've been working on my SR , right now I'm waiting for couple of parts to come ( heater hose, rad etc.) before dropping in the motor. In the mean time I thought I'd go a head and work on my harness, I followed fsport.com and followed all of the instructions except for extending the 02 sensor because I'm unsure of what gauge wire I'm suppose to use.

Anyways, my lower harness is cut so I'm not really sure how I would go about this , I did some research and found that I could use the KA harness but to cut the plug off of the SR and splice it on the KA

here is a photo,

Am I going to need a new harness or do I take the KA harness and just splice it on there?

they KA harness will bolt right on there, only wire you need to change is the Starter solenoid plug.

I think there was a misunderstanding on my part, I meant the transmission plugs they are different than the KA on the SR tranny they are the skinny pig tails the KA has the fat one , do I need to grab the SR plug and place it on to the KA harness?

Pretty sure you can swap sensors from the 5-spd KA trans onto the SR trans and use your KA lower harness. If not you will need to put SR plugs in place of your KA's plugs. If you decide to go the latter route PM me, I can find you some plugs.
