Up for sale is my 1993 Nissan 240sx with a sr20det engine swap. The car has 188,xxx miles on it and the swap has close to 100,000. The car runs really rich and rough. I did a compression test and got 150/100/150/150. The motor will need to be torn apart to find out why cylinder 2 is getting low compression. My guess is the piston ring or head gasket. The motor has no knocks or ticks. I have put close to $3,000 into it. The car has a new coolant temperature sensor, new battery, new iac, new maf, new valve cover gasket, new intake manifold gasket, new injectors, ebay t28 top mount turbo, with internal wastegate set at 10 psi, ebay oil catch can, new ecu, xs power intercooler, turbo xs blow off valve, autometer boost, air/fuel, and oil pressure gauges, blitz turbo timer, open downpipe, battery relocated to trunk. The exterior is in decent condition, the paint is fading and there is a medium sized dent in passenger side door. The only rust the car has is in the trunk where the spare tire goes. Car is a 5-speed manual and has a short throw megan shifter. Car shifts fine no grinds. The car's interior is gutted but I have a box of some of the interior pieces. It also has no radio or a/c. Car will need to be towed. This car is a project car and would make a great drift car!

Pics of car can be found on old for sale post: http://zilvia.net/f/cars-sale/362368-fs-ft-1993-nissan-240sx-running-redtop-sr20det.html

Price is $2300 OBO. My number is 260-443-9973. Text or call if you have any questions.

Just want to update potential buyers on this car.

Car is a pretty good shell, not rusted too bad.

Wiring is really iffy with loose wires everywhere, including straight through to the trunk-mounted battery, but it started and almost everything works regardless.

Car idles very very rough and fouled plugs heavily. Car heaves and hoes at idle until it finally dies on it's own, smell of burnt oil, no coolant, but leaked coolant and oil dripping off the cross member.

Good money in parts as far as intercooler and the SR swap and a shell that isn't swiss cheese, but will definitely need a rebuild on the motor at least.

Good luck with sale man!

GLWS,

If you want to be positive about #2 cylinder's rings being at fault do a wet compression test,Drop a cap of oil in the cylinder the re do the compression test,If compression bumps up to aound 150 psi then its verified the rings are at fault,Just saying it will be easier to sell when you know what the exact problem is.

Thanks for the advice. I did a wet compression test on cylinder 2 today and it went up to 210. So I'm pretty conviced that my cylinder 2's rings are fried.
