yeah dude, burn it with the oil that has some gas in it chilling right next to it so you can set your motor on fire... GREAT idea.

Push the wood in further so that you can create a 'trench', use this to pull the stick up and down. The more you do it the bigger the 'trench' will get - eventually it will come off the lower end since there is less wood there.

Use a chisel and break the wooden handle.
Hammer = 10$
Timing chain = $50+

Hold on man I was being sarcastic, and what makes you think he has gas in his oil? If he does have gas in his oil, the wood thats stuck is the least of his problems i.e. bearings, piston rings. Next time hold off on making comments about what people say until you get the full spectrum of what is said. Thank you for reading and dont take any of this personally.

Do you have the tensioner loose on the side of the engine?

What I would do, is get a long prybar and pry against back and forth and eentually it will come out.

I made one like suggested on the JWT site, works great

i don't take anything on the internet personally, lol. As well as all used oil has gas in it, whether its a lot or a little.

You know taking off the front cover would have gotten this done yesterday right? Like when i change my diff oil, i always try doing it without taking off the axle-back exhaust. Takes me like 45 minutes to realize its not going to happen, 3 minutes removing exhaust bolts and then it takes me 10 minutes to drain/refill everything. Easy.

I had the same problem before. I bought an aquarium and a male and female termite. I put them in and waited until the queen got pregnant, she had about 500 little termites that very hungry and ready to eat wood. Threw them in front and closed the valve cover tight. Went for vacation for a month and came back and wood was all gone and termites all dead in oil pan.

Dont you have to take the upper oil pan off to take front cover off? because of the way the crank.

If you try and pull it out i feel like you are going to crack the front cover. lOL

Its just easier IMHO if you take the whole upper pan off. I have seen it done by just pulling down after loosening all the bolts.I have also seen cracked upper pans that no one wanted to explain how it happen while changing the front timing cover.

you know the cam has a spot on it for a wrench to keep it from spinning when tightening or removing
GOOD JOB!
