is there a differance in s13 & s14 KA 5spd trans

i heard that you cant use a 5spd(KA) trans from a s13 into a s14
because there are some different things on the s14 trans
have ne one use a s13 in a s14

i THINK that the only difference is the bolt pattern on the housing. don't quote me on that one though. I'm not sure, but i think i've read it somewhere. And if my memory is still fresh, I think you might be able to use the internals from the s13 and throw them into the s14 tranny housing, or vise versa. just to make sure, you should check the gear ratios... remember, this is coming from a faint memory. so please correct me if i'm wrong.

holy crap. this has been covered so many times before.
s13 & s14 KA trannies are COMPLETELY interchangable.
main difference is s14 has hole at top of bellhousing for crank position sesnor.
