My car wont start but when i jump it it will start right away. I figured my battery was dead so i bought a new braille battery and put it in today but the same problem it wont start and i put the jumper cables on to see if that helps and it fires right up. I no longer think its my battery any suggestions to check next?

your battery is meant to be used on blind cars thats why

the braille batter i have has 1191 cranking amps and 475 cracking amps and im sure thats enough to turn my car over. I have friends with braille batteries with less cranking amps and they turn there sti's or 240s over perfectly. i know a person in his sr swapped car that has a tractor batter in his car that turns it over i dont think my battery is the reason

make sure you tighten the cables on the battery post real good. clean the terminals

If you have a dmm have someone try and start the car with your leads on the battery it should be 12.6 ok so when they crank it watch the volt meter to see how much current is being drawn. Actually you wanna see how much juice your starter is pulling so put - lead on battery ground and + on the starter wire it's a wire with a nut going to the starter post up the results Pm me if this is confusing :p

Check the ground on your battery. Make sure its tight and grounded. Try plugging your battery in and add a jumper with just the ground.

You can have high resistance in your battery cables, check your cables make sure there isnt crap in side of them.

i wasnt able to test the starter to battery wire but i did run a new ground and put new terminals on each positive and negative side but still just clicks when i go to start it. I jumped it again and it started the first try let run a little bit shut it off and tried again with no jumpers and just clicks again.

Check to see how much power your getting to your starter.

I bet money the battery terminals and/or leads are corroded inside.

i ran new ground wire and got new terminals but i think it is something in the wire from the starter to the battery wire doesnt look good

hmmm check the 75 w/amp whatever fuse in the fuse box. could be that. common mistake. people accidentatlly touch direct ground to the starter and blows the fuse. car wont start on it's own but it will start when you jump it. or at least this happend with me. gl.

^^ check the fuse

does the car remain on/running after jumping it (removing the jumper cable of the battery) if it does then you can rule out the alternator but if it doesn't then it could be a bad alternator.
