This is no local city event. This is a creme dela creme of southern california's hottest imports under a 1 block radius. We will also have free prize giveaways, food trucks and a whole line of photographers to capture every highlight of the day.

there's no way that parking lot is going to fit half of the cars people say they're bringing. I've already donated to legit charities, seems more and more of them are popping up all over the place and don't have a firm word of where the money is going.

You can't have a car meet like this without a permit, etc, etc and I know the organizer isn't coming out of their pockets to sway the fuzz away from this meet. Some nobody is throwing this together and everyone is jumping on it.

If it was someone I trusted as an event organizer then maybe i'd be behind this, but for the most part I'm skeptical.

I brought up the same question to the director and he assured me that all proceeds will be going to Japan through the BCA.

Red Cross will not be in attendance, because we are not using them as way to donate. I posted on the events page...

Update 2: I had a meeting yesterday with the temple and I finalized everything with them. The donations will be going to the temple where the event is being hosted, they send the donation to the main temple in San Fran. Who then sends it to the "Hongwanji Social Welfare Department" in Kyoto, Japan. Here is the website if you would like to check it out! Welcome to the BCA (http://www.bcahq.org/)

The parking lot can fit about 300 cars all around.

from what I see there will be over 500 people coming in and out throughout the day.
