Hello everyone I am selling my 89 240sx coupe with an LS1 swap(that is out of a 98 corvette) and a T56 transmission
its registration and insurance is current and tags are good until December 2011
the swap was done a little over a year ago and has ~40k miles on it
it runs great and never overheats or anything, gets around 25mpg on highway
doesnt smoke or burn any oil
starts up every time, has never broken down
the body has 146,390 miles
Clean Title, never been in an accident
interior is in good condition with manual windows, locks, and mirrors
has an UNCRACKED DASH!!
non sunroof model
the sliding seatbelts still work, but the passenger one acts funny sometimes
all interior and exterior lights work and function fine
you cant find another 89 240sx coupe in this condition with original paint

welded diff
rolled fenders
pignose front lip(not in the pics but its in brand new condition)
Sportmaxx 962's 18x8.5" front....18x9.5" rear powdercoated black

Kenwood deck with auxillary input for ipod

the not so goods:

When the swap was done, the tach and speedometer weren't wired up
but the speedometer does still light up(its the digital display).

the clearcoat is fading off the bumpers(like all 240's with original paint)

a few small door dings here and there

the drivers seat has the usual rip on the bolster

pop ups are stuck in the up position, probably just the relay(you can still adjust them by hand)

has new tires on the rear

There has been tons of interest in the car but nobody has shown up with cash yet

Ok so the reasons im selling my car are 1.that i want the money so i can buy my friends car haha. and 2. cops where i live are ridiculous, they would just love to write me a ref ticket..... I barely drive the car twice a month because im afraid to get pulled over by one of those pigs, and because the welded diff eats up tires really quick so i cant afford to just keep throwing tires on it. right now its registered and insured with current tags so there aren't any sort of DMV fees or any bs like that. i can even help you get it registered and everything once you buy it. thanks for all the positive comments guys... i will hopefully make a video of it tomorrow.

and you can get the swap BAR'ed by puting a full stock exhaust system from a late 90's early 00's corvette/camaro ss/firebird and thats pretty much it. then you just have to go talk to a CHP certified referee and he can place a new badge thing in the door-jam so you can go get it smogged at any shop in CA. i looked into it and i almost did it but i decided not to because i never drive the car and i have been wanting something else.

and just to let you guys know if you see any oil drop stains in the street in the pics, they are all from my other 240 that i recently sold(its my avatar pic next to my name). this car doesnt leak a drop of ANYTHING at all.
someone buy this thing, im not really looking for trades unless you have a clean 6speed G35 coupe with low miles :) but dont hesitate to throw me some offers.

dude if you're that paranoid tone down the exhaust if its too loud for you. the car doesn't attract too much attention (visually).

I'm sure if you quieted the exhaust note you wouldn't really have an issue. but no matter what cops are going to hassle you, as long as you own a 240. goes for everyone.

Yes i bought the car near San Francisco. A friend and i drove a total of 19 hours in one day to get it (it was totally worth it though). And the car drove back to my house in stop and go traffic at 80 degrees with no problems at all.

I also forgot to post that the car has an LS7 clutch and flywheel in it. it is very easy to drive in traffic. and the clutch has never slipped since i've had it.

the other night i was driving it and tried to turn on the heater, but i broke off the little plastic tab for the temperature slider on the climate control. but i will include a whole new climate control unit for the new owner.

dont hesitate to throw me some offers, the worst i can say is no thanks. i wanna sell this thing soon, and your getting a better looking version of a corvette for less than 8,000 haha. I will be in Long Beach on april 8th, 9th and 10th for formula drift and i might bring the car if there are some potential buyers so let me know.
