Leak in brake MC plug...

I have been seaching for info on the subject on the site, but couldn't find anything relevant.

I happened to locate a very small leak in the brake Master cylinder. It happens to be on the black plug. I have a back-up Cylinder in a junker S13, but I want to know if such leak can be fixed with DIY knowhow. Can an average Joe fix it with the proper tools, or replacement is the only fix?

the best is to swap the master clyinder or get a rebuild kit for your master cylinder and hope the kit comes with the seal or gasket you need to stop the leak. my experience is that rebuild kits are sometimes just as expensive as buying a new master cylinder. check rock auto.com for prices and pics of what the rebuil kit comes with.
