I'm going mad

There is this little chirping/squeaking sound in my 93 coupe that is coming from what appears to be behind my gauges or deep within the dash on the drivers side, and it makes the sound everytime i hit a bump, its like a high pitch rattle. I was wondering if anyone knows or has heard of this problem. Its driving me crazy to the point where im going to gut out my whole dash assembly to find [email protected]#!$#!$

What year car? Engine? Auto/Manual? Do you have the heat or A/C on when it happens?

There really isn't much behind the dash that could make a high pitched squealing noise. The speedo, maybe, but the speedo is electric so sqealing noises would be really rare(since there is no cable to squeal), but there are still moving parts.

Does your speedo work properly?

I'd check the belts and idler pulleys as well as the water pump while the belt is off. Ohh yah, make sure your fan clutch isn't wobling and worn out.

If the blower motor is on when it happened you may have a bad motor or something stuck in the hvac assembly. My old Audi used to get leaves in the system durring the fall and drive me nuts (whizzzzzzzz.....).
