Just picked up a s13. RHD conversion. Radio harness was hacked.
Wired up a deck and got no power.
used a test light to see if i was getting any power on either the constant or acc switched (yellow wire and red wire) both got nothing.
checked allll fuses (interior and engine bay) all check out good.
what could the problem be?
If i was to run a constant straight from battery the deck would stay on at all times no?
help me please:hyper:

You run your hot wire (constant 12v) from deck to battery and then find yourself a good accessory power to run to the deck. Or rig the accessory up to the ignition switch. So yellow to battery and red to an accessory source.
Did that make sense?

I had a ignition wire that worked in my chopped up harness. But just like he said one to ignition or accessory, and run your own constant.

i got it, what i did was run a 12v constant with a inline 15amp fuse. then used the cigarette lighter for the acc switch on.
but i would still like to know why i have no constant.
When i was driving today the clock on the cluster would just be the blank
but then it would show "1:00" then go back to blank? lose wire or bad ground some where? all fuses check out even replaced the 75amp fuse. i just dont like doing janky wiring. i should just redo the whole interior harness.

Same here, clock stays at 1 o clock. Idc about the clock but it does aggravate me when little things don't work properly. When I bought the car is was in pretty bad shape. ( this is just my personal experience ). The wiring was janky on everything. Random wires that go to nothing in the dash. Wires butt connected from harness at ecu. Ext. I hate janky, improper, little things.

For the clock it may be an intermittent short. That was happening to my friends 240 as well. I forgot where he found it.
