Everybody views my topic, but doesn't seem to give an answer. People keep telling me that the SE trim level is the one to get, but do you really know the difference or are you just saying SE because it sounds good. I don't know for sure, but from what I've read, the LE has everything that the SE has but more. So why isn't it better? Can anybody tell me anything here?

what's sad is that even the hosts for this forum don't even know the difference. Either that or they're just not answering.

Before you go starting getting pissy, realize that this has been answered many times before. I guarantee if you use a search you would have found all you need to know. Most of us know what we know from following the board for a few months to a few years, reading topics that may or may not pertain to us and sharing knowledge.
If you are finding people aren't doing your work for you, do a little for yourself. The answers to most questions can be found by using a search, or probably just by going to page 2 or 3 as most topics resurface under different names just about everyday.

I beg to differ.
The people here know a ton of stuff, and I know #### well they can tell you the difference between an SE and an LE, because I've seen them respond to the same question on like a dozen other threads. In fact, I've seen myself respond to that one more than once.
Basically, I'm just trying to say that you shouldn't show up and start dissing people you don't know if your question doesn't get answered quickly enough because it might not be that new a question. And, sure, there's nothing intrinsicly wrong with repeating an old question, but I think there's been a thread a week about SE/LE subtleties for the last three weeks. I assume your thread didn't get much attention because of that, and not because of the knowledge base.

Cry me a river!!! I believe a lot of people know the difference!!

What's sad is that instead of doing your homework and finding out the difference for yourself you complain to us for not telling you.
When I decided I wanted a 240 I knew nothing about them. I read the FAQ's at www.240sx.org, I read up reviews online at www.epinions.com and I priced the car at Kelly Blue Book and checked all the forsale sites. Then I started posting. When I bought my car I knew more than the dealers trying to sell it to me and I #### sure knew the difference between the LE and SE.
The people on this board (including myself on occasion) are very helpful and knowledgable. Everyone is also very friendly, so please don't ruin the atmosphere with by being callous towards the rest of the members here.

twofortysx,
Yea dude I remember dealing with dealers and stuff... I'd be like what trim level is that... they'd be like... ummmm "ESS EX" I was like... no like... what trim... does it have a spoiler or fog lights? Leather.. those guys didn't know shit!! Plus everything was always an automatic... what gives with that? So it's not too hard to surpass the dealer's knowlage... I called across the US to find my 240... and pretty much everyone was stupid, with the exception of the ones that were already sold... probably why they sold!!

First of all, your annoying. And more importantly, learn how to be more specific when you ask a question or you wont get an answer. Now go away.

Just a suggestion - get a new s/n...
Judging by this thread, you may have pissed off some of the most helpful people on this board by being an arrogant, impatient prick.
Personally, I passed over that topic several times in the last several weeks b/c I figured it was easy enough to find and had already been answered every time. I only stepped in when I saw misinformation.
In the future, I suggest you take my opening advice and next time use that link at the top, all the way to the right... "Search!!" before you ask a question that has been asked countless times before.

I had almost that same experience. I called a dealer and asked if they had a 95+ 240SX and he tells me yes so I go there and ask to see it and after walking up and down the lot, he tells me he was mistaken. Then he says "but I know something you may prefer for around the same price and heads towards a Silver E36 M3, so I'm getting excited that I can afford an M3 and he stops at a 200SX. He says it's basically the same car if noit better and he used to own a 200SX and found it was sportier and offered more performance. I basically turned around and walked away from the mountain of BS before I drowned. My $0.02 stay away from dealers.

hmm, it seems to me that I actually started a good topic. To get people to read it more, you have to have some crazy topic or just a diss to somebody. LoL. Thanks guys I found out what I needed to know. For everybody out there that said the SE was better than the LE, sigh, so sad. I found my research out, but I was just double checking to see if it was right from actually drivers of the car. Thanks a lot.

Q: Anyone know the difference between the XE and the base package on the KA24E trucks?
A: Ahahahahahahaha!!!! The sticker on the tailgate and the extra cab!! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
I may be wrong. Don't really care. I just go look at the car and see if I like it. Wonton, although your post may have been annoying, dig the response. You seem to have a sense of humor, which is good.

I'm on my second LE, I had a 92 hatch with HICAs n stuff. . yeah that was MUCH better, because. . hey. . it had HICAS hehe. . but it also developed cancer and I had to ditch it. .
But that aside, I now have a 97 LE, and really. . it's NOT better at all than an SE. . I have leather, upgraded sound system. . bla bla. . some more standard crap, but who would want to keep their car stock anyway? First thing I'd do if I had the money would be to buy some seats anyway. =) I don't have ABS, or LSD, I'm getting the LSD ASAP, ABS I don't care about. . the bits that make my car an LE are things I wouldn't mind replacing anyway. . I have a weird prob with the display on my stereo, the seats, although in nice shape now, will probably tear apart before the cloth EVER would. . my power antenna will prolly break later on. . I DO like having a sunroof though. . that's cool. . and that I'd fix lol. . I have an LE because I don't care. . so long as it's SE or LE. . And really, the only reason I don't want it to be base is so I'm guaranteed cruise, power locks, and a roof. . all performance parts will be tossed anyway.
