Dunno how wide you can go there, but iirc it's a 6.5" stock rim. I too am interested in getting some wider tires. I'll need to research exactly what the rim and tire specs mean 'cause I'm a knowledge whore like that <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

More important is tire width. 235(maybe 245) is widest on front, 245(possibly 255) is widest on rear. So wheel wise 7.5"-8" on the front and 8"-9" on the rear. Beware though that with 9" on the rear you will need exact offsets, or have to run some negative camber with rolled fenders.
On the inside of my passenger side door-
185/70R14 -front & rear
195/60R15 -front & rear
205/55R16 -Front
225/50R16 -Rear
Thats for JDM, shouldnt be any different on an export model.
edit
-should add that Ive packed
205/45R17's on the front and 225/40R17's on the rear without any problems but it gets expensive <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

195 for stock and 205 for cars with the sport package.
