I have ordered two sets of Diamond Racing Wheels, all made with the DOT material. I was just wondering if I ordered the non-DOT approved version next time, will they at least be decent? The reason is to cut the weight in 1/2 and make my car a little faster while using them. So far each rim was about 22lbs (DOT) and non DOT is around 11 lbs. Please let me know. If anything, I will just call them first thing in the morning but I would like to know from other's experiences. Thank you!
EDIT: This will stretch well right? 16x13s with 245/45R16...

I can't see a 245/45 EVER fitting on a 13" wide wheel...I mean I could be wrong as who knows what the stretch guys can pull off, but regardless that would be pretty stupid looking if it was able to work.
Either way, if you're looking at cutting weight, why risk wheel integrity? If it's a track only car I could see it being ok, but if you're driving it around and hitting potholes/etc I wouldn't rust it at all.

HIGHLY doubt you will get that 245/45 on a 16x13.
Thats pushing it for sure. Like straight up starter fluid explosion status MAYBE, but I really doubt it.. and like dude above said, it will look fucking dumb anyways.

I hate diamond racing wheels on Japanese cars.
How that we have that out of the way, Why would you want to put a 245 on a 13j? You sound a little confused, initially asking about reducing weight but opting for such a wide wheel. If you want a lighter wheel and want to run 245s why don't you just get a 8j? the tire will fit and it will be lighter than a 13j by far. If the reason you got 13j wheels was an attempt to be super hellaflushcanibeatstancenation you obviously care more about how your car looks in which case you failed by choosing diamond racing wheels. You didn't want your car looking good or performing well, why not just leave it stock?

245/45 16 = 245 mm wide /45=45% of the 245mm is the side wall hight

You are obligated not to wear a shirt or shoes though.
