and i installed it, but i think i need to clean the filter it made my car backfire some thing nasty

filter was working perfectly, my guess is make sure your wiring to maf is not loose, or the plug.

thats the only thing that i can think of that might make your car run bad from that area.

otherwise i was using the filter to its full potential up until i upgraded
