Ok guys, I have an issue. Yesterday, on the way home, my transmission started acting up. I got the car home, called the shop and they told me to check the clutch slave cylinder. IT seemed like the seal had broken because there was fluid coming out of the rubber boot on the trans. So I replaced it, car was fine for about an hour, then it does the same thing. I don't understand why.

Here are the symptoms....

1. Car is hard as hell to get into first and Second gear at a stop.

2. When I finally get the car into gear, with the clutch pressed all the way down, the car starts rolling like it is an Automatic.

3. Smells like a burning clutch, so horrible, but the clutch is new.

4. Fluid in the Reservoir is fine.

Dousan, I know you probably know what it is. Any suggestions, any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Check your clutch master cyclinder, and also make sure there are no bubble in your clutch system. You also might want to change you manual transmission fulid...It would help out to, but check the master cylinder and bleeding the lines first.

prolly better of replacing the whole slave, they can be a pain to rebuild.

dont force it into gear, in nuetral relase the clutch, let the synchros spin then put it back into gear.-- much easier

I have to do this all the time, dman guy in japan messed up my tranny a little i think.

Ok fellas, I got it. The pressure point of the clutch was to close to the floor. So I adjusted it and now it will go into gear. I checked inside the firewall for the fluid from the Master cylinder, and there was a little bit, and the clutch still feels a little spongy. So I'm going to replace the master cylinder, and I'll let you guys know next week, probably Monday or tuesday, and let you know how the install went.
