could really use some help

nobody seems to know anything about this I touched the battery cables the wrong way 1 sec on my nisson altama 97 now it runs fine and the head lights are on but everything ele is off adn will not work I found the 75 amp batt fuse burned I replaced it and still nothing works, I am broke down 2 hrs from town and I cant find anyone to tell me what else is going on thanks

Did you check your main fuse? there may be more than one, should be in your engine bay fuse box.

Also, check your main relay, dunno about your Altima specifically, perhaps someone else can chime in about that, but there's usually a relay in, under the driver's side dash?, that will act like a global "ON" switch and invoke the fuel pump and other stuff... I know of some older cars that suffered when this broke.
