ok, my car runs awesome, but there is an odd noise i believe to be coming from the turbo (SR20 redtop), it sounds like there is a leaf or somethin in there that the turbine is hitting making that noise like when a fan is touching a piece of paper? but i know its not a leaf b/c it would be torn to shreds by now, it kinda sounds like a diesel.. but not really, could it be b/c the EGR pipe is cut there and i dont have it covered... any ideas? it sjust annoying, doesnt seemd to be effecting anything..
thanks

The best way to identify exactly where the noise is coming from is to get a 3 Ft. piece of hose (garden hose, or plastic tubing) that is about 1/2" od and use it as a hearing "snooper". With one end up to your ear, the other end can opinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from and what is causing it.

Turbo gaskets.
Check for leaks and blown out bits.
If blown replace with s15 metal items

another way to bills post is a stethescope(sp?... the little thisgs that dctors use to listen to hearbeats..just cut off the end of it and use the tube... very accurate... mechanics and exhaust welders use it to find exhaust leaks all the time..

well it was the little metal exhaust recirc thing, i plugged it up w/ a rag and the noise was gone... but i have to find a way to plug it, i know HT has it, but i dont think i can get that piece out its rusted on there very well... i was thinking a screw... and some silicone to seal it up what do you guys think?

Part of the AIV box?
Are you going to use or remove it?
I would plug it off for now.
