OK... so a few weeks ago, i was driving my car... everything normal until i see smoke/steam from the hood. I knew it was really bad because when i was trying to make it home, car felt like it was dying out on me. Anyways, I'm like OOHHH SSHIITT, so i take my car home and inspect it.
so i pop the hood... ANTIFREEZE EVERYWHERE and 2 of my plug wires were sitting really high... i take the wires out.. and they are blown to bits at the end... so now im really scared...

I take my car to my friends shop... cracked radiator... so i get a new one of those... he inspect the water pump and says it looks ok and whatnot. he also puts a new thermostat in. ok.. so it seems like everything is well and good.

So last week while driving... car starts to heat up.. im like NNOOO NOT AGAIN so i pull over and stop for a bit to let things cool off. After that.. i start her up and everything is fine. Now everyday i drive my car it heats up REALLY HOT but then it cools off... Its like.. something isnt right somwhere... but when the metal expands, it seals up whatever was going wrong...

and the last two days... THIS is whats going wrong... with all the problems stated above... it seems that the engine (after that little cool off period) is staying cooler when the engine is at a higher RPM.. when in gear or not... so right now i dont know WHAT the fvck is goin on with my car... and the worst part is... im missing class tonight because of this and there's this hot as chick i was talking to :wtc: :wtc:

There might some air bubbles trapped inside the block. Did you vacuum out the coolant system? Just flush it out again and pray it's not a blown head gasket.

holisticbeatz is right. Might be air or a blown HG.

If you want to check if it's a blown HG, take off the rad cap, run the car, and use a dye-check .. that will tell you if you have conbustion gases leaking into the coolant system.

some other things to check are radiator cap, if your car is auto, might be a faulty torque converter, incorrect timing (i doubt this one) lean air/fuel mixture.
Also make sure the hoses are in good condition.

goooooood luck :)

system was bled and all of that... gonna do a dye test and all of that tomorrow.. i think the hoses are crap though... so i need to get a replacement for those... got a new radiator cap... old one was poo... so all in all it might the the head gasket... this weekend sounds like a LOT of fun... either that... or i somehow come up with the money for a swap within the next week... THEN ILL JUST BLOW THAT KA UP FOR PUTTING ME THROUGH SO MUCH STRESS!!!!!

Let me get this straight...your spark plug wires were blown to bits at the tips, yet the spark plugs were still in there place and in tact right?

Any funny smell, what color is the smoke from the tail pipe? Blue is burning oil, white is burning coolant. It could be blown head gasket cause the oil to contact with the plugs.

nah, no funny smell, not burning anything... however in a few hours i will have an idea to what this mystery problem is....

and with the plugs that was WAY long ago but all of them were still in there fine... its like the head got so hot that the wires melted and cracked... ill see if i can find a pic of them because i know i took some
