HI I just removed the ka out of my 91 hatch. I will be swapping an sr in soon and want to prep the bay. I searched but found no straight answers. Do I remove the complete wiring harness or do I keep parts like the fuse box and stuff. Also The canister on drivers side by the radiator. Can I remove this completely and remove all the hoses connected to it. Can Anybody Else tell me what I can remove from the bay that I wont need for the sr. Thanks for any help.

You only remove the engine and trans harness along with the engien and trans, all other wiring and fuse box, just leave.
You can remove the canister, and all the hoses. (you may smell some gas fumes from time to time, nothing to worry about)

If you have an auto, you can remove the auto transitor on the drivers side next to the p/s reservior.

other then that, take the time to clean the engine bay :)

ok i went out and took a look at the harness and noticed where the harness comes out from the fire wall meets the top engin harness but theres no conector to remove its all one mess of wires wrapped in tape do i remove the tape and then will there be a connector or what will i do. Also do i remove the part of the harness that connects to the starter and alternator. what exactly does the auto transister look like. thanks

forget that last comment. I just remembered you need to take the ecu and that crap out from inside and that leads to the rest. I just did that but now I want to know more about the emissions crap. What can I take out and how far do I go. Like I noticed on that canister by the radiator that on the bottom connects to a hard line to the gas tank. Can I remove the whole thing or should I keep it. Also the coil type device that connects to the distro, I have to remove that correct. Does anybody know of any place where I can find this info that is already published cause I dont want to piss you off with these basic questions. Thanks.
