I installed an ebay FPR yesterday because i've been hearing that FPR is a must to have for an upgraded fuel pump. Since then, it's been having a hard time to start when it's warm. Most sadly, it intermittently dies while I'm driving. It feels like running out of gas. Then I'd immediately try to start it back up but it won't fire up, it just keeps on cranking. I have gotten stuck on the side of the road 3 times already since yesterday. The fuel pressure was set to 42 psi without vacuum. My poor RB is currently sitting at a gas station while I'm sitting here at school typing up a new thread...
I have a very basic mods:
straight exhaust
stock boost
FMIC
Walbro fuel pump
SAFC blue
WHY WOULD IT JUST DIE?? Any help will be appreciated.

Check codes from ECU.
Sounds like the the Coolant Temp Sensor

Could be wrong, but I thought the FPR was supposed to be set with vacuum?
I'd put the stock FPR back on and go home. My guess is you don't have the pressure cranked up high enough.

Thanks for yalls input. My friend is about to drive me to the gas station right now. I will check the coolant temp sensor for loose connection then put the stock FPR and go home. Good thing I keep tools and parts in my car.

so it's still dying..it sounds like the timing is messed up. I've noticed that it's been leaking oil also. will it not start when it's low on oil?

Get a timing light and check it. If you don't already have a timing light, you need one.
Never heard of a car not starting because of low oil, but you should throw some more in there anyways.
Other common problems can be: TPS, ignitor clip, MAF, bad alternator
On my 26 it had a faulty alt. that caused all sorts of horrible problems.

So I think I found the issue. I took off the CAS cover and found out that the wheel was bent. A few weeks back, I broke two out of 3 brackets that hold the CAS trying to ply it off with a flathead since it was stuck and wouldn't turn as I tried to adjust the timing. So I ended using only one bracket to hold the CAS to the timing cover. Shortly after, I changed the timing belt, kept the timing belt cover off, and put the CAS back on however this caused the problem. Since there was no timing belt cover, I accidentally tighten the CAS way too hard and caused the shaft to get pushed back. This is the result below. As you can see, the wheel is bent where it meets the sensor. The wheel should be clearing the sensor correct?

Thanks Sileighty. I am working on getting one right now but I've been having a hard time finding one. I've got the Hitachi one as opposed to Mistubishi one. They both have a different shaft and also Hitachi ones are not rebuildable.

Post up in the wanted to buy section, if you haven't already. You could also ask over on Nico.
Or if you want it now, RB Cam Angle Sensor (CAS) - Raw Brokerage - Your online source for RB parts! (http://rawbrokerage.com/RB-Cam-Angle-Sensor-CAS-rb-cas1.htm)

Thanks Godzillarb but I have already posted on the WTB section and called Raw Brokerage. They told me that it's going to cost $350 used since it's a rare kind which is an R34 CAS, Part# 23731 L300. I am waiting on a call from Phase II motoring.

I've seen CAS's pop on ebay every now and then as well. Good hunting :)

I just ordered one from Phase II for $250 brand new, not a bad deal. I just hope that it's the problem.

You dont need a FPR with a walbro fuel pump, especially on a rb25. Ebay is your friend for a CAS
