Hey everyone, my steering always whines at me, its done it since I purchased the car about 3 months ago. Of course at speed its harder to hear and its easier on the steering so I would imagine it either does not do it or is harder to hear. At any rate does anyone know of a fix, or why it whines. Its really annoying to me, everything works fine, wheel does lock to lock even at a dead stop, but man does it whine bad when I move the wheel. Can anyone help?

They are all good, I put all new belts on shotly after I got the car because the front main seal was gone and I figured I was there might as well. They never sqeel, that does not mean they are not tight enough. Ill double check it tonight, but if I had to guess Id say its fine. The car also did this before I replaced the belt when I was going through a quart a week and leaking oil like a MOFO. Also the steering fluid is full. Any other ideas?

are you using regular PS fluid or ATF? according to the FSM you are supposed to use ATF for the powersteering....
go figure, but im not sure if it really makes a difference...
