i just finished installing my front and rear 5 lug conversion but ran into a problem with the z32 e-brake assembly. i installed the whole z32 rear with the z32 uprights and such on my 91 s13. after i got everything installed i adjusted the e-brake handle (just like all the other z32 threads) and i still had no pressure on the handle. i then adjusted the teeths on the e-brake assembly and still no pressure on the e-brake.
i made my own custom e-brake brackets
what am i doing wrong?
why does my e-brake have play?
hey, you would probably have the answer to my question..

Which e-brake cables did you use? IIRC S13 needs the ones from the 2+2 Z32

its the 2+2 z32 e-brake cables because the cables were the same length (measured it) as my stock cables and it reached the cable holder fine with no problem

how much slack is in the cable? with the e-brake released look at the cable where its mount to the body..right above the drive shaft..if there is a lot of slack you need to make a bracket to space the cable further back. i can post pics of mine if u need.

just put them on my s14 today and had tons of slack too. im going to look into it tomorow but its either that the e brake pads need to be set better. adjust them through the big hole in the disc so that you just barely rub when you turn the wheel. and tighten up the cable. thats really all that it could be. also keep in mind that the new cables will stretch out fast so you will need to do adjustments from time to time. il let you know if i run into any problems
