I was curious as to what spring rate is the best for an S14. I'm gonna get a set of Fortune Auto's and I'm pretty torn between 8kg/6kg and 9kg/7kg. Let me know what you guys think. This'll be for a DD and track once in awhile. Maybe once a month?

8/6 if you're street driving.

Generally lower spring rates are for street applications, with higher being for track applications. If you want your teeth rattled out of your head, 9/7 will do just fine.

well I was having a discussion with a friend and he said that the 8/6 was too soft for a s14 seeing how it was heavier or something like that. I know the pbm's which are 10/8 would rattle my car is much my back would break but I'm guessing the 9/7's are the same?

While spring rate is somewhat dependent on weight...in general 8k/6k is perfect for a street s14, especially with a low end damper.
Really spring rate should always be left on the softer side if you street drive it. If it saw 80/20 track/street then run more sprin, but it sounds like you have a 5/95 track/street car.
