I want to get a turbo one that is fairly easy to just bolt on. I want more power and i was thinkin this is one way to go. I want it mainly for Drift/track use. If not i was plannin to get the stock t28 turbo from a s15 but that needs some modification to install. Thanks for the input...

I wouldn't trust a turbo from ebay, especially since you have no idea what kind of response you'll get from this thing. Go with the FPbig28 from www.forcedperformance.net, you won't regret it.

how hard is the fp-big28 to install its sounds good but i want to know if this will bolt on directly to the sr20 without any mods. If it does require mods wut kind of mods are they. Thanks

Nice doorstop.

Naw, I am kidding some on that..

I am skeptcal of the way the nut looked. At also looks like a rebuilt job. The actuator area looks hammered on. Just worth the 199 bucks...and then you got to get all the plumbing to make it speak.

I would buy a brand new snail...and be careful of an ebay one. That picture looks funky to me.

The DEAL..is if you are in a major city, find someone that rebuilds turbines for big diesel trucks. Go to the junk yard and find a newer wrecked Volvo or Saab. Have it rebuilt by them (50 for the snail, 250 for rebuild) and then you got something bulletproof. Then have a precision machinist port and polish the turbo. Now ya talking.

(Example: Whan I had my Turbo regal V6 Grand National sport coupe, my turbo was bad because I bought the car slightly used. I did as I described above with the rebuild at a diesel mechanic shop. This was in 1978! I had a car that ran a nice 15.2 and after they finished it and ported it out(plus my head, intake and exhaust) I was running low 13's with it. Went from 6lbs to 17lbs. Total cost in 78 dollars??? 340.00

1978 was the first year Buick introduced the 231 V6 sport coupe regal with the turbo. It was the precursor to the famed grand national. I had more HP than the G/N and close to the GNX...then the car was stolen from me, found stripped of the clip and burned out...in early 79.

It's 100% bolt up. All you need are some bigger injectors (555cc is good enough), a FMIC, a upgraded MAFS (Z32 most likely), and a retuned ECU(JWT is the most popular option), but you'll need these things with any turbo upgrade. Another VERY good idea is a metal headgasket and rocker arm stoppers. The FPBig28 makes about 325whp at 22 psi. There are quite a few threads about it, do some searching.
