Yey im a proud new owner of a black 96 240sx se. I bought it from an old couple and the wife drove it! She kept the car in excellent condition. The car only has 77k miles on it and i bought it for 5grand. THey were the only owners of the car and when they preordered the 240sx they wanted all the options. So it has lsd/abs and all power. SHe kept the interior in good condition as well, all leather interior. I think i got a pretty good deal. Going from honda to nissan is different. In my opinion the feeling and control of rwd is awesome. It hugs the corner really well. Thanks alot guys for all your input!

wow good deal...you'll have to take it back to them in a few months and show them what their car has become..lol..that is if you mod it..
if this is your first RWD car be a little careful at first and definately in the rain..would suck to mess it up at all..
have fun
:D

yea im looking forward to driving this car on the snow & rain. I definitely have to get used to that. I was thinking of doing the s14 exterior conversion n stuff like that. But now i look at my car and i think its really clean how it is.

Fun? Snow? HHAHA yea right, i took me forever to get up to speed in my car in the winter, i got stuck in my GF's Driveway in 1/4 inch of snow, it was retarded... Rain is ok with open diff, but rain on lsd, well its nutz it you let it out, ok ok rain is fun :-D, but snow with the wrong tires=death, BEWARE!!

gah..it sux not having a flash light around. When i bought the car the owner said he pre-ordered all the options. He was talking about somekind of racing suspension that it came with. He said its like the porche suspension. I'm pretty sure it has vlsd because it has the abs actuator. But i'm still just making sure. BTW...on the diff where is the sticker located at? Its really dark in my garage so maybe i can get a feel for it..or maybe i should just go to sleep and not worry bout it.

Maybe the owner got sold on the 240 because the salesman told him it has McPhereson struts which a porsche also has. Or then again...maybe he just told you that to get you more amped up to buy the car:D . All in all it is still a good buy.

Seems like you have a nice car in your hands now. It would be nice if you could post some pictures of it. Also, about the sticker, all you have to do is kneel down behind the car, look at the diff. and if you have LSD, the sticker should be on there. However keep in mind it is under the car, and weather could of wore the sticker off over the years.

i beg to differ... i wish i had taken pics of last year's snow here in northern VA. After the snow trucks "cleared" the streets, the snow was upto the top of the windows. I think at one point, the car was almost completely sealed in snow.

Just gotta say one thing to our new owner: Make sure you got good tires and just in case, try the spot a couple of garage where you could bring your car if ever you crashed it...talking from personnel experience, laugh all you want, but had the car for 2 months and didn't think about the tires. 2 days ago I hit a wall. Lady who sold me the car told me the tires were still good. I guess they were not!
