Im tripping out cause Im having a manual swap being done but i heard the car wont pass CEL with an auto ecu. I believe my car is OBD1 not quite sure but the tranny is OBD2. If worst comes to it, then I will have to swap the ECU to a manual OBD1. Do I have to change anything on the OBD2 tranny? or should I just get OBD2 ecu and engine harness? AHH!! flippin out someone help! Thanks

There is no difference between an "OBD1" and "OBD2" transmission. if its an s14 it has a CAS attached to the top of the bellhousing, which means from 1995-1998 the transmissions are the same. You're probably still gonna throw a CEL because of the auto ecu. all you need is an OBD1 s14 manual ecu and it should solve all your problems. the car will still run fine either way.

yea the auto ecu will throw a cel and you wont have cold start but it will drive fine... you can just get a 5 spd ecu if you want
