Sr finally running but what now????

finally go my s14 sr20det running. went to take it for a drive but it rattles SOOOOOOO MUCH!!! the whole car shakes way too much. i have solid motor mounts and i expected a lot more vibration but not much. should i just torque them down more if they are letting the car rattle this much or what else could it be? it shakes this hard at idle and driving

You could have a misfire or somethin if it rattles that bad at idle.

no its not a misfire. it doesnt rattle just vibrates slightly at idle but the damn interior wants to come apart at certain rpms. its these damn motor mounts. im just gonn have to find a set of stock ones for sale and trash these ones i got in it now.

Remove the bolts on the motor mounts, It should help with the vibrations!!!


You can also run strong zip ties if your afraid your motors going to fall, trust me I have seen it done.

solids do vibrate alot.. lol
i know there is someone out there that would trade some poly motor mounts for solids..

I'm using Ultra Mounts on ebay and it shakes a bit, but nothing like what you are describing.

Well any set would be better than these....anybody have some stock mounts they wanna trade????
