Back when my I owned a S14 I had the Tomei manifold also, but I had an aftermarket turbo outlet and it fit without an issue.

Yea why even bother with the stock turbo outlet? Buy the tomei one.. it'll fit.

Tomei manifold will actually push the turbo slightly back towards the firewall. A stock or ebay turbo outlet will not clear the bell housing. Therefore, you will have to get a Tomei outlet.

Does the Greddy Turbo Elbow clear the bellhousing with the Tomei Expreme and the gt2871?

Thanks for all the inputs. I'll post up pics when i get my hands on a tomei outlet and installed. I was getting ready wrap up yesterday when i noticed the stock t28 outlet elbow didn't quite fit.

thanks again for all the inputs.

do you have the clocking plates for the t28? that could be your problem

to Mikeroy420.

i was looking at this thread last night and it seems that the greddy or the pbm wont clear the transmission

to dopplganger1 : are you talking about those DIF clocking plates?

yes i am, was just thinking they could angle it differently but not sure after looking at that thread

those only re clock the position of the intake compressor inlet and the outlet for the hot pipe.

i run tomei manifold.
on a t25 flanged 3071. greddy outlet has like 4 mm between the tranny. i was also looking into a new elbow now, or a new manifold. :/

I bought the tomei elbow today and installed it. fit like a glove. There's about 6mm between the elbow pipe and the transmission bell housing. I'll take some pics sometime this week.

I have the same manifold with GT2871r and Circuit Sports DP - fitment is perfect - could it be that your turbo needs to be clocked a bit? Shouldnt have to buy their elbow to use the manifold
